Resident MARK DAVID SAUGER Said: “Someone should start an organization to reflect the views and opinions of All Cape Coral Full Time Residents what a concept.”
A majority of Cape Coral’s 157,000 registered voters have little time for politics — but they still want to be heard.
Frustrated and Ignored Residents are Tired of being Shut Out of Major Decisions.
Residents want real political impact on the issues that matter most. They’re looking for an online system that’s fast, simple, and a secure way to directly vote on major city projects and impactful issues. The Resident Voice Initiative is that solution!
A Real Resident Voice Giving Power Back to Cape Coral Taxpayers
The RESIDENT VOICE INITIATIVE is an Online Cape Coral Voter Opinion Poll System, giving residents a real voice and political clout, while making our representatives accountable to the taxpayer.
This system will bring common-sense, resident-driven feedback straight into City Hall — ending the era of backroom deals and “we know best” government.
As your City Councilman for District 6, I am committed to giving Cape Coral taxpayers and every registered voter a real voice in how their city is run.
The Cape Coral Resident Voice Initiative
Giving Real Power Back to Cape Coral Taxpayers
I will advocate for the creation of a secure Municipal Online Opinion Poll System that allows everyday residents of Cape Coral to have a convenient, direct, meaningful voice in city government decisions.
How It Will Work:
One verified vote per person, secured by your official voter registration number.
Only registered Cape Coral voters who participate in city may vote.
Residents will be able to voice their opinions on major city issues and significant projects before City Council makes final decisions.
Any poll that receives participation from 10% or more of registered voters will be considered legitimate public input. That’s 15,000 voters telling representatives what they want. Once it becomes popularized, participation will skyrocket.
City Council, Mayor and City Manager will be required to publicly review the results and provide a formal response.
This system will cut through backroom deals and special interest influence by giving Northwest Cape Coral residents a clear, transparent channel to express their will on important local matters.
The Resident Voice Initiative: A Simple, Voter Friendly add-on to CapeCoral.gov
My Resident Voice Initiative is a groundbreaking innovation for Cape Coral and the entire state of Florida. It goes far beyond what any other city currently offers by creating a formal, recurring, and voter-verified online polling system with real accountability. This isn’t just another meaningless survey that gets ignored. This is genuine reform — giving Cape Coral residents a direct, verified voice in major city decisions instead of another survey that gets filed away and forgotten.
As your next City Councilman for District 6, I am committed to bringing common sense, fresh eyes, and true accountability to City Hall by making sure the voices of Cape Coral taxpayers are heard and respected.
This is what true citizen participation looks like — not another dusty report on a shelf.
**Tired of Surveys That Get Ignored?**
Every few years, Cape Coral hires consultants to conduct expensive “Citizen Satisfaction Surveys.” The results come back… City Hall smiles, files the report, and then continues doing exactly what it wanted to do in the first place.
That’s not citizen input — that’s political theater. The Resident Voice Initiative is different. It gives verified Cape Coral voters a direct, secure online vote on major projects and important issues before decisions are made. No more meaningless surveys. No more backroom deals.Real Resident Voice. Real Accountability.
All City Voters Participate in the Open Races Regardless of Which District They Live In.
If you are a registered voter in Cape Coral, you will see all three district races (1, 4, and 6) on your ballot. You can vote for one candidate in District 1, one in District 4, and one in District 6 — even if you don’t live in those districts.
