“I won’t just make the tough decisions — I’ll make the SMART ones.”
As a candidate for Cape Coral City Council District 6, I am running to bring common sense, fiscal responsibility, and real accountability to City Hall — both for our northwest neighborhoods and for the entire City of Cape Coral.
I Stand for:
Responsible Growth, Not Overdevelopment — Smart, sustainable development that protects our neighborhoods, roads, canals, and quality of life. New growth must pay its own way through proper impact and mobility fees instead of burdening existing taxpayers.
Lower Taxes and Fees — No new tax or fee increases on current residents. I will fight wasteful spending, oppose insider deals, and demand competitive bidding and transparency in every budget decision.
Infrastructure First — Fix our roads, aggressively find and apply additional funding for the UEP (Utilities Expansion Project) that will bring assessments and hook-up fees to an affordable level, enforce traffic safety in District 6, and accelerate canal dredging and maintenance to protect our waterfront communities.
Public Safety — Fully support our police and fire departments so they have the resources needed to keep Cape Coral safe.
Transparency and Integrity — Regular town halls, open communication with residents, and zero tolerance for special interests or “go along to get along” politics.
Protecting Our Neighborhoods — Preserve the character of established communities while ensuring smart planning that safeguards our aquifer, environment, and property values.
Incentivise New Business — Create tailored incentive packages while focusing on quality over quantity. Attract stable, higher-wage employers that diversify our economy beyond retail, tourism, and construction. Offer performance-based grants and tax exemptions (e.g., property tax abatements) that scale with the number of jobs created and the wages paid. Prioritize companies paying at least 110–125% of the local average wage. We can create better careers for residents, broaden the tax base, and help to keep property taxes in check.
Workforce Training Partnerships — Partner with CareerSource, local colleges, and high schools to provide customized training programs so new companies have a ready pipeline of skilled workers — reducing their onboarding costs.
Expedited Permitting & Red Tape Reduction — Create a “fast-track” approval process for businesses in targeted industries (healthcare/tech, light manufacturing, professional services, marine tech) that commit to local hiring.
I believe Cape Coral should remain affordable, safe, and livable for the families, retirees, and working people who call it home. I am not connected to or controlled by developers, insiders, special interests, or the current establishment. I will actively seek out residents, listen to their concerns, and be a strong, independent voice for the taxpayer at City Hall. I’ll do the work necessary to intelligently prepare Cape Coral for its inevitable population growth.
Common Sense. Zero Conflicts. Real Change.Smart Growth.
